Gas Transmission
Pipeline Projects
Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri

PPI provided survey, mapping, engineering, design, drafting, and installation for more than 100 miles of 4- to 18-inch diameter natural gas pipelines. The work included FEED analysis for compressor stations and locating existing pipelines and facilities for abandonment, rehabilitation, and/or replacement.

T he utility identified opportunities to enhance its pipeline systems in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri, where there has been substantial residential and commercial development since the original pipeline facilities were constructed. The project required many related tasks, such as:

  • Topographical surveys, boundary surveys, and as-built surveys of existing pipelines
  • Design and drafting, including plats produced to obtain pipeline right-of-way and locate encroachments
  • Engineering, design, and drafting completed for horizontal directional drills (HDD) for pipeline replacements (offsetting existing pipeline and tying-in to existing line) and for new pipeline installation
  • Cost estimation
  • As-built surveys and as-built alignment sheets completed for new pipeline installations.
